Club History - 1991

Junior B League
We won all our league matches and went on to play Rosscarbery in the Semi-Final however missed a penalty with five minutes to go and lost the game.

Junior B Championship
In the first round we played D. O Mathunas where we were lucky to come out with a draw. In the replay we came out convincing winners.

In the Semi-Final we played Kilmacabea in a very tough game. We played well and won by 6 points.

In the West Cork Final we met Kilbrittain who we played on 29th September at Rossmore. We got a bad start however built up a big lead which held us to the finish on a score of 3-12 to 1-5. There was a sigh of relief throughout the parish to have finally own the Final.

The first round of the County was played the next Sunday against Russell Rovers in Mayfield. We got a great start and held on throughout to win by 2 points on a score of 1-10 to 2-4.

In the Semi-Final we played Buttevant who dominated throughout and won with a last minute goal. It was disappointing not to make the County Final after getting so close.

U21 A Championship
We played Bandon in the first round which we won easily.

In the second round we played Skibbereen who dominated in the first half and despite a good second half from Caheragh it was too little too late and Skibbereen won by 4 points.

Minor A League
We went through the League unbeaten to qualify for the Final where we met Clonakilty who we beat convincingly.

Minor A Championship
In the first round we played Drimoleague who we beat easily.

In the second round we played against Castlehaven who were one of the toughest teams we met throughout the Championship but we won by 2 points.

In the Semi-Final we played Barryroe again winning easily.

We played Newcestown in the West Cork Final where we struggled for a time in the match. We eventually won on a score of 11 points to 6.

In the County Semi-Final we played Ballingeary who we beat by a large margin.

We now had qualified for the County Rural Final where our opponents were Ballyhea. We played well and won easily on a score of 3-10 to 11 points.

In the County Final we played St. Vincents the City Champions on 1st December. We started in tremendous fashion and never let St. Vincents into the game winning on a score of 1-11 to 7 points. This was our first County Minor A Title.

Junior D Championship
We were beaten in the second round of the Championship with a weakened team due to a lot of players being involved in the Junior A team.
