Club History - 2004

U21 Championship
This was played on a round robin system where we met Clann na Gael in the first game. They played dominated in the first half with us improving in the second half to bring the difference to one point but were unable to get any closer with Clann na Gael winning on a score of 1-8 to 10 points. In the second game we played Diarmuid Ó Mathunas where we won by a score of 1-12 to 4 points. In the third game we met Barryroe in an evenly contested match until Barryroe got a late goal to win on a score of 2-9 to 1-9 which ended our championship for 2004.

Junior A League
We won four matches beating Diarmuid Ó Mathunas, Gabriel Rangers, St. Colums and Garnish, drew three and lost one game.

Junior A Championship
In the first round we played Doheny's where we failed to convert our chances we created however won on a score of 13 points to 1-6.

In the second round we played Castlehaven where again we failed to convert our chances however won on a score of 11 points to 7.

In the Quarter final we played Carbery Rangers where we dominated for a lot of the match and won at a score of 2-15 to 5 points.

In the semi-final we met St. Colums who dominated a lot of the first half but we raised the tempo in the second half to win by 11 points to 9.

In the final we played O'Donovan Rossa in Castlehaven on 30th October. We scored a goal in the first half however did not score from other chances. It was a fairly even game but points scored by us in the second half proved crucial and we won at a score of 1-6 to 1-5, it was our fourth West Cork Junior A Title.

We played Aghabullogue in Ballineen on 7th November, in the County Quarter final. We failed to create many chances and were beaten by a score of 8 points to 5.

Minor B League
We won two of our matches, drew one and lost one. Newcestown and Kilbrittain failed to field against us.

Minor non-exam League
We played a total of four games in which we won three of them against Ballinora, D. Ó Mathunas and Kilmurray.

Minor B Championship
In the first round we played Carbery Rangers where we finished strongly to win by a score of 1-8 to 10 points.

In the Semi-final we met Gabriel Rangers who dominated the second half to come out winners on a score of 1-11 to 1-10.

Junior C League
We won three of our matches but lost eight of them.

Junior C Championship
In the first round we got a walk over from Gabriel Rangers.

In the semi-final we played Clonakilty where we won comfortably at a score of 1-14 to 1-4.

We played Kilmacabea in the final in Castlehaven on 5th December. It was our first appearance in the Junior C Final. We played well but were unable to overcome the sending off of a player and the early conceding of a goal and were beaten by a score of 1-10 to 4 points.
